Waldorfkindergarten Pirmasens

Words can’t express my love for this place. They loved my child completely. They took care of her, let her be the independent child that she is, taught her right from wrong, taught her about the outdoors, nature, how to cook. We left nearly 1 year ago, our daughter went to this school from 3 to nearly 5 years old. She still talks about her teachers and has been constantly asking about them since we left. Very few teachers speak English here, but the love is immeasurable for all their children.

We cried when we said good bye to them and about 1 week ago I was telling one of the moms here in the US about how much we loved the kindergarten in Germany and I became all teary eyed again.

Their motto is „there’s no bad weather, only bad clothing.“ My child was outside ALL THE TIME except for nap time and mealtime. They cooked their breakfast with the kids. Started with the grains, made the flour, the made the waffles, then they ate. The most amazing way of teaching the children how food comes to be.

They cook the organic food, let the children be children, love them like their own.

We are back in the US and my 5 year old went from spending nearly 6 hours outside to spending maybe 2 at the most outside during her kindergarten. It has been a shock to her and she misses the outdoors.

We wholeheartedly love this kindergarten, my son was not that fortunate going to the Montessori Schule of Pirmasens, he didn’t have the same experience with the teachers there. But I would recommend Waldorftkindergarten to anyone who is looking for a daycare filled with love and adventure for their children.
