Kids & Co City

Amazing experience!

Our son entered the Kids & Co kita at 4 months old. The team made everything very smooth; our baby boy was super happy to go each day and we, as parents, had an amazing feeling with the team from the beginning.

They take the time to introduce the kids to this new environment, to other kids and to the team.

Our son evolved so much, and is really well taken care by the amazing team (especially Livia and Ada, you are amazing!).

We are going back to Lausanne so we unfortunately have to move our baby boy but recommend 200% this kita to any parents. They speak fluently english and have a native english caretaker for the children which is a great +. The kita is huge and modern, kids have a lot of space to play and a lovely terrace.

We had 2 kids who went to Kids & Co City (the one located in the EF building) and I can only say amazing things about the daycare. Our kids loved the teachers and loved going to school every day.

A few highlights:

– The teachers are all incredibly kind and caring. Our kids came to Zurich not knowing an German, only English. In their group, there were a mix of kids who knew German, English, Italian and more. The teachers do an amazing job of making all the kids feel comfortable and teaching them German in very approachable ways. We have been amazed at how well our kids have picked up German through school.

– The children are frequently going on fun and educational adventures outside of the school. From trips to the Zurich Tram Museum to farm visits and active forest days. When I dropped the kids off at school, they have posters on the wall with pictures of recent outings. You see from those posters just how happy the kids are. And they come home having so many stories to tell and new things they’ve learned.

– The school is very clean and modern, with great educational toys and rooms dedicated to different types of activities. For example, they have an entire room dedicated to art and crafts (our kids love it). They also spaces for active play (both indoors and outdoors) where kids can get creative and do both physical and mental play.

– The food they eat is healthy and fresh. When you see and hear about what they have each day, it makes you wish that you could go to the Kita for lunch!

– They support kids as young as babies all the way up to kindergarten. And they have dedicated spaces for each group. So its not like the older kids are stuck with babies. Each group can play and learn at the level that’s right for their age and development stage.

I’m writing all this because we’ve had an amazing time a Kids & Co. When we were looking for daycare and moving to Zurich from abroad, it was really hard to find somewhere we felt confident in. We’re so glad we landed at Kids & Co and cannot recommend it more.

Such a great kita!
We had our son in this daycare for about 5 months.
Unfortunately since we moved apartments we decided to change to another one that is closer to our new home, but that was a tough decision because our son enjoyed it so much at the Kids & co city.
We felt really safe leaving him with the amazing teachers who took such good care of him.

We’ve been with Kids & Co. City for a total of six years with both our daughters. Our youngest started when she was almost 8 months old, and the older one at 11 months.

The Kita has been consistently fantastic — it truly felt like they were there to support our whole family, not just the kids.

Facilities and Activities

From face painting and a dedicated gym room for yoga, to a music room filled with instruments, recycling room, the kids always had engaging spaces to explore. They even had an arts and crafts room, with a specialized teacher visiting each group on a dedicated day to run creative sessions.

We never needed to look for extracurriculars — the Kita covered everything. On weekends, we’d often find that our kids had already been to many places with the Kita staff: boat trips on Lake Zurich, the Zoo, the airport playground, Juckerfarm, Christmas markets, museums, and weekly forest days. They had so much fun and were always excited to go to Kita.

Food

The kids picked up healthy eating habits, like enjoying raw vegetables dipped in yogurt. According to them, the Kita food was their favorite — and from the weekly menus, we could see it was also nutritious and well-balanced. We also asked the staff for snack ideas such as healthy crackers with cottage cheese.

Culture

Another big plus was the international atmosphere. Some educators spoke only German with the kids, others only English, and majority spoke Swiss German. As a result, our children learned the basics of both German and English — not just Swiss German. They also made friends from many different cultural backgrounds.
The Kita organizes yearly events to meet the other parents, such as a summer Apero, baking cookies together at Christmas, and workshops on different relevant topics such as handling tantrums.

Support and Professionalism

We were always met with empathy and care. The staff went above and beyond — whether it was lending us a stroller, offering baby massages for tummy troubles, helping potty train both daughters, or doing cool hairstyles that the kids loved.

During the _Elterngespräch_ sessions (yearly chat), we were impressed by how well the educators really knew our children — their personalities, strengths, and how best to support their development.

As young parents new to the country and on our own, we often turned to the expert caretakers for advice on how to handle various situations at home. They were always knowledgeable, kind, and willing to help. The staff-to-child ratio is excellent, and we always felt they had time to talk with us — whether it was to explain how the day went or to discuss any questions or concerns we had.

I highly recommend this Kita and feel truly grateful that our family could benefit from all that they offer.
